Knoxville Zoo now presents an exciting new program featuring the opportunity to 'Get Real Close' to some amazing animals. Building off the success of Rhino Rendezvous, animal keepers decided to expand behind-the-scenes opportunities with more animals, more interaction and more choices.

For a ticket price of only $15 per person, small groups of guests will be allowed behind-the-scenes to meet either a rhino, a penguin, an elephant or a giraffe. The experience will include a special presentation with the animal keepers, an opportunity to touch or feed the animal and a keepsake photo of the guest and animal interacting. The price does not include the zoo admission. 

Revenue from the Animal Encounters program will support Knoxville Zoo's animal collection with a portion of the funds supporting conservation projects in the range countries of the animals featured. Rhinos: Thursdays @ 11:30 a.m.
Elephants: Fridays @ 2 p.m.
